FaceTime is a great invention from Apple, but it has to work! Although nine times out of 10, there are no problems, sometimes you can’t get started with the app. Fortunately, there are ways to fix FaceTime again.
With FaceTime, you can easily make video calls between different Apple devices. However, sometimes things can go wrong. That’s why we’ve collected some helpful tips for resolving any issues.
FaceTime: Fixing Issues
You’ve probably been asked if you’ve already tried turning the device on and off when a problem occurs. This can also be the solution in this case. To turn off FaceTime, you need to open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
Then select FaceTime and make sure the green switch next to FaceTime turns gray. Turn the gray switch back on and wait a few seconds for it to activate again. If this doesn’t work, you can also try turning your iPhone or iPad on and off.
If you’re still having issues, it may be your network settings. Open the Settings again on your iPhone or iPad and press WiFi. Choose the WiFi network you are connected to and choose to Forget this network. Then try to connect to the network again. You will need the WiFi password again for this. If you can’t connect, there may be something wrong with your internet connection.
Reset iPhone or iPad
If you still can’t use FaceTime, you can completely reset your iPhone or iPad. Before you do this, it’s a good idea to make a backup. To reset your Apple device, go to Settings and tap General. At the very bottom, you’ll find Transfer or Reset iPhone. On an iPad, of course, it’s Transfer or Reset iPad.
Then choose Reset and Reset all settings. This option does not delete any data or photos. Still, it is wise to make a backup beforehand because you never know!
