1Password 8 for iPhone and iPad is here. The well-known password manager with a brand-new appearance closely matches the Mac version of the software.
The significant new update includes a much-needed fresh coat that makes the app feel more modern than ever and is currently available on the App Store.
“1Password 8 for iOS and Android users in a new era for our mobile applications – enabling more amazing personalization, deepening our human-centric platform and helping to annihilate the headache of logins on mobile devices,”
Jeff Shiner, the CEO of 1Password, said. “Importantly, our updated application reflects our commitment to confirming people have a seamless experience across all devices and platforms.”
The most notable change is the way 1Password 8 looks, with the app creating it possible to edit the information shown and more.
• “Customize 1Password 8 with a unique home screen: Allows users to personalize their 1Password experience by highlighting favourites, reordering sections and adding immediate actions.”
• “Locate items even faster: An updated always-on navigation bar allows users to access their home screen fast, search for items, and open Watchtower or application settings. It also has new item icons, typography, detailed views for items and vaults and more.”
Other improvements include modifications to Watchtower, which now gives a better dashboard view to a great start in ensuring that their passwords haven’t been compromised, among other things.
1Password application installed on their iPhone and iPad should see the update in the App Store soon if it is not already known. It’s an update worth obtaining your hands on if you’re a current 1Password user.
If you are not, the app was already one of the most useful iPhone password managers, and this new update sticks its position on that list.
