WhatsApp has introduced a new feature, “Delete for Everyone”. This new update lets you delete a sent message even if it’s 2 days old. Here’s what you must know.
Now Delete Your Older Whatsapp Messages
WhatsApp announced this change via a recent tweet, suggesting that you can “unsend” a message sent to someone or a group chat after two days and 12 hours.
💭 Rethinking your message? Now you’ll have a little over 2 days to delete your messages from your chats after you hit send.

WhatsApp offers you 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds for you to delete a sent message in a chat. Whatsapp presented the feature back in 2017. So now, if you think you sent a wrong message to someone and it’s still unread, Select the “Delete for Everyone” option to get it off the chat.
Just go to the chat window and long-press a message to delete. Tap on the “Delete for Everyone” option, and the deletion is done. This feature is live for users, and you can update the app to start using it.
This increased period for message deletion has been under beta testing by WhatsApp for a while. It was earlier expected to provide a 7-day window but has now settled for two days, possibly due to privacy issues.
Furthermore, WhatsApp has expanded the availability of the option to reply to messages with any emoji. You can now transfer media up to 2GB in size, create groups with up to 512 members, and more. Also, you can message someone on a group call while they are still on it by long-pressing their name tile.
