Foodpanda collaborated with the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) to train Homechefs on improved food packaging and sanitary standards during food preparation by teaching them more excellent safety practices and government SOPs.
The training event aimed to teach Homechefs about fundamental sanitation and safe food preparation to establish and promote a food safety culture in Punjab.
On occasion, Mustafa Dogar, Additional DG, PFA, said, “We are pleased to cooperate with foodpanda and teach these creative folks about cleanliness and safe food preparation.”
Our goal is to disseminate this culture and encourage everyone to follow these standards to keep the environment healthy.”
HomeChefs are people who provide meals through the internet from the comfort of their own homes. Thousands of registered HomeChefs have been accepted by foodpanda after passing stringent regular testing for food hygiene, quality, safety, packaging, and other aspects.
Within the next two years, the firm hopes to double the number of registered home chefs to 100,000.
